SPRING

First picture is a Killdeer sitting on her nest at the base of a small tree beside the road. Her mate tried desperately to make us chase him instead of looking at her but we got the pictures anyway. Below that is a Kingbird who we found sitting in a tree where we had found him last year. Obviously they must return to the same area annually like many other birds do. Finally is a sweet foal who is likely only a few days old. We first noticed the baby three days ago but today they were close to the road and mom wasn't in the way so Deb managed to get a good shot before she led the baby to the far end of their field.
