Grand Canyon Visitor Center/ Mather Point
The end of the drivable road in the Grand Canyon National Park came to Mather Point where the visitors center is located. We checked out the views but the video area of the center was under construction. We opted not to take the free shuttle service to Hopi Road since that would have taken an extra couple of hours and the park ranger we spoke to told us the views we saw already were the most spectacular. Following the sightseeing we began to make our way out of the park only to come across an elk eating tree branches along the roadway despite the many people taking her picture.
