loving my VSG surgery

First pic was early last summer on our trip west. Second picture with red shirt was a short time after surgery. Bottom picture with white shirt was this weekend. I am loving my sleeve and so thankful for the weight loss. My knees still hurt and my ankles still swell but I am able to do so much more this year than I could before surgery.

Happy Mother's Day

We enjoyed the beautiful weather on Mother's Day by taking a stroll through our favourite "Pearce Park". Deb noticed the odd looking bird seen in top photo. Turns out he is a Great Crested Flycatcher and the lower photo is a Rose-Breasted Grosbeak. A nice walk and a couple of great pictures. We also enjoyed watching the cliff swallows flying around the edge of the bluff and a small group of birds that may have been Mergansers were frolicing and diving at the base of the cliffs. It was nice to see many family groups out enjoying the park and the day including a young mom with two very muddy kids, one of whom had lost her shoes while trying to scale the cliff after a stroll on the beach with their equally dirty large dog.

I did have a short visit with Chris this morning after returning Linda's dog to her and going for my swim. He seems to be doing well, he is happy with his job and claims they are happy with him. Now we just have to get his spending under control and help him learn to budget and plan for his ongoing monthly bills.
