vacation 2011

Our first couple days of vacation were spent in Ontario. First night was at the Tulip Inn near Huntsville. This is a very nice property along the river with their own private beach for fishing, canoing or wading. The part albino robin shown here greeted us behind our unit when we went for a walk to check out the river. The owner said he had never seen a bird like that before so we felt extra privelidged to have been a witness to his beauty. The little ground squirrel also joined us for part of that walk. The following day we were in Kanata to visit Deb's grandkids. Sammy and Zoe both loved the birthday gift we brought for Sammy. It was great visiting with them and a shock to see how big they have gotten. Zoe read a book en français, amazing since she hasn't reached grade 1 yet. Natalie had also just received the news that their house has sold...for real..and they will have a closing date in three short weeks..OMG. Luckily they have already decided they will rent for now and they have been looking at places so have a few options open to them.
